Mrs. Chelsea Ellison, FMS Teacher of the Year, was honored by Superintendent Hughes on Thursday as one of the top three finalists for Walton County Teacher of the Year! Earning a top spot as one of the three finalists is extremely difficult and a momentous achievement. The Teacher of the Year Celebration and final announcement will occur at WHS on January 25th at 6:00 PM.

Freeport Middle School is proud to announce our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Chelsea Ellison. Mrs. Ellison has worked for Walton County School District for 12 years. All 12 of these fabulous years have been at FMS! Together with her husband, Corey, Mrs. Ellison has a 5-year-old son, Will. During her time at FMS, Mrs. Ellison has served as a teacher, guidance counselor and an interventionist. She serves as a new teacher mentor, SIP Chair, Professional Development Contact, Social Media Contact and decorator extraordinaire. If you’ve been to FMS during a holiday event, such as Thanksgiving lunch, then you’ve seen Mrs. Ellison’s work! Mrs. Ellison is a true Bulldog! We are honored to teach beside her and have her represent all of FMS as Teacher of the Year!
