Help Us Improve

Each year, Freeport Middle School encourages its stakeholders to participate in the annual climate survey to assist in the analysis and to guide the creation of school improvement goals. With the first semester completed, we are seeking interim feedback to track progression towards our parent involvement goal. Please review the information included in this memo and complete our mid-year survey by clicking on the link below.

Freeport Middle School currently utilizes the following resources to communicate with parents.

  • Email & Phone: District-provided e-mail addresses and extensions can be located on our website under “Faculty & Staff”.
  • Facebook: Freeport Middle School’s Facebook hosts news events from our campus, monthly update videos from FMS Principal, Mr. Nathan Smith, and information regarding campus events.
  • Focus: Teachers post student grades and attendance information for each student. Students automatically have access through their Classlink accounts. Parents can register for parental access by visiting Questions regarding Focus can be directed to Mrs. Jami Weeks at [email protected].
  • Planners: All students are provided with a planner at the beginning of the year. Each Monday, teachers provide students with the assignments and important information for the week and encourage them to copy into their planners during designated class time.
  • Progress Reports & Report Cards: Progress reports are distributed at the middle of each nine weeks. Report cards are sent home at the end of each quarter.
  • Remind Text Messaging: Teachers distribute their class codes via Back to School informational packets and are available on the Instructional Staff webpage.
  • Website: Contains a plethora of information from curriculum guides to teacher contact information, group schedules, events, information, district news, etc.
