This year in the Rosemary Beach Foundation’s Music in Pictures Art Contest, two of our FMS Bulldogs received important awards!
Out of all the middle school artwork submitted by schools across Walton County, our very own Bella Carter claimed the prestigious “Best in Show” award. Describing her painting Water, Bella said “I created my art with watercolor and some white acrylic paint for the ocean wave splashes. The big idea behind my art is a night time sky and ocean based off ocean-themed classical music.” Congratulations Bella!
Donna Kost also won, claiming the 8th Grade Chairman’s Choice award for her painting Mizu. About her work Donna said “The song ‘La Mer - Play of the Waves’ by Claude Debussy was my inspiration. My goal for this piece was to represent the fact that a wave can help or harm people.” Great job, Donna!
Thank you to all our amazing FMS artists who participated in Music in Pictures. The artwork submitted by our Bulldogs and other students across the county can be viewed from March 1st to April 28th at Amavida Coffee and Tea, Rosemary Beach Coastal Branch Library, Freeport Public Library, and Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.
