✨ Our 8th grade AVID students had an exciting day continuing their career exploration! ✨ Thanks to the Virtual Reality headsets provided by Northwest Florida State College, students were able to step into different career fields and explore future possibilities in an immersive way. In addition to the VR experience, students also learned how to build a realistic budget based on potential career paths and salaries. They even practiced calculating their net salary after taxes — an important real-world skill they’ll use for years to come! So proud of their engagement and curiosity as they plan for their futures! 💼🎓💡 #FMSBulldogs

Throughout the season, our Boys and Girls Soccer teams have been hard at work collecting food donations for our local food bank, Food For Thought. Thanks to their efforts—and the generosity of our students and community—they helped fill an entire truck with donations! These are incredible kids who strive to succeed both on and off the field, and we couldn’t be more proud of their commitment to serving others. #FMSBulldogs 🧡💙

🍁 Today is our Thanksgiving Luncheon! 🦃

We are excited to welcome our FMS families to campus today for this special event. Please refer to the lunch times below to know when your child’s grade level will be eating:

Lunch Times:
• 1st Lunch – 6th Grade: 10:10am – 10:40am
• 2nd Lunch – 7th Grade: 10:55am – 11:25am
• 3rd Lunch – 8th Grade: 11:40am – 12:10pm
• 4th Lunch – 5th Grade: 12:30pm – 1:00pm

⏰ If you have not already picked up your visitor badge, please plan to arrive early so you can be checked in before your child’s lunchtime. This will help the event run smoothly and ensure you don’t miss any time with your student.

Our cheerleaders showed out today at Fort Walton Beach High School as they competed in the Battle at the Beach cheer competition! 🧡💙 They brought home 1st place in Traditional, officially winning Battle at the Beach! On top of that, our very own Ebony Durgin dominated and won the Tumble Off! We are so proud of these Bulldogs and their incredible hard work and spirit! #FMSBulldogs 🧡💙

Parents and Community,

A sprinkler head burst in one of our 5th grade classrooms this afternoon after being accidentally hit. All students are safe. Due to the amount of water released, all 5th grade classrooms were evacuated prior to lunch. Students have returned to their classrooms this afternoon, except for two classes due to water damage. These classrooms were divided among the other 5th grade classes. School for 5th grade will continue tomorrow as usual.

We’re so proud to share that Piper Wood’s incredible artwork, “Balloon Dog,” was chosen from submissions across the entire county! 🏆 Her piece will be proudly displayed at the Florida State Capitol during the upcoming legislative session! 🏛️✨

🎉🐾 We recently celebrated our incredible students who met their AR (Accelerated Reader) goal for the first quarter of the school year! 📚✨

These Bulldogs worked hard, stayed focused, and showed what it means to be dedicated readers and learners. To recognize their achievement, we held a special celebration full of fun, smiles, and well-deserved recognition for their effort and commitment! 🙌💙🧡
