Freeport Middle School had an outstanding 2025–2026 track season, competing in seven meets and showing tremendous growth from our athletes all year long! 💪
We are especially proud to recognize five of our throwers who qualified for the FLYRA Middle School State Track & Field Championship in javelin—an incredible accomplishment that reflects their hard work and dedication! 🎯
👏 The boys team also had an impressive finish as Runner-Up in the Panhandle Athletic Conference Championships. We couldn’t be more proud of the way they competed and represented FMS!
This group showed up, put in the work, supported one another, and competed the right way all season long. It was truly a fun and successful year, and we are excited about the future of this program! 🚀

Today we celebrate an incredible leader, and we are fortunate to have the very best at Freeport Middle School! 🙌
Mr. Smith leads FMS with passion, purpose, and a relentless focus on student success. Under his leadership, our school has consistently remained a top-performing A school, successfully transitioned into our brand new campus, and grown by over 200 students—all while maintaining a strong, positive culture. 💪
Because of his vision and dedication, FMS continues moving toward even greater success. None of this would be possible without his leadership and commitment to our students, staff, and community.
Thank you, Mr. Smith, for leading us to be “The Model Middle School of Walton County.” 🐾
💬 Take a moment to drop a comment below and let Mr. Smith know how much you appreciate him!

Today marked the conclusion of the Month of the Military Child, and we were proud to celebrate with a special Heroes Reception here at Freeport Middle School.
With over 150 military-connected students, we are incredibly grateful to serve such a strong and diverse group of families who bring so much to our school and community. 💜
During today’s reception, we had the opportunity to welcome our military families, share some light refreshments, and spend meaningful time connecting. One of the highlights was watching students and their families pin our world map with places they’ve been stationed—each pin representing a story, a sacrifice, and a unique journey. 🌎
Thank you to our military families for your service, your strength, and the impact you make on our school every single day. We are honored to serve you! 💜

Today, we had the honor of welcoming back Freeport High School seniors as they walked the halls of Freeport Middle School one last time. 💫
Our students and staff lined the hallways to cheer them on, celebrating how far they’ve come and the exciting journey ahead as they prepare for their final days as high school students. From these very halls to graduation, it’s a full-circle moment that reminds us all of the impact of their hard work and growth. 🙌
We are so proud of each and every one of you and can’t wait to see all that you accomplish next. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog! 🐾

Because of their generosity, this was the first year we were able to offer wheel throwing to our 8th grade students, and it was a huge hit. Our students have loved learning this new skill and creating some amazing pottery projects.
