Last week, Mrs. Christian’s students had an exciting time in class! In Civics, they explored why Montesquieu is such an important figure in shaping our country—while also picking up a few dance moves along the way. 💃🕺

🎨✨ It’s National Arts in Education Week and we are celebrating the amazing Arts teachers who inspire creativity every day at FMS!
Today, we spotlight Mrs. Cawiezell, who is in her 13th year of teaching art (and her 4th year here at Freeport Middle School). She earned her degree in Art History from UWF and says she truly has the best job in the world. 💙
Her teaching philosophy is best summed up by Picasso’s words: “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
Right now, her 8th graders are diving into a clay unit and working on a fiber arts needle felting project—made possible through a grant from the Cultural Arts Alliance (CAA). 🏺🧵
