Parents who have registered to join their child for Thanksgiving lunch are encouraged to visit the school between now and Wednesday to obtain their visitor badge. Doing so in advance will help expedite the check-in process on Thursday. Please remember to bring a valid driver’s license or identification when picking up your badge.

📣🏆 Last night was an incredible moment for Freeport Middle School as we officially opened our new gym—and we did it in style, winning all three games! 🏀🎉 It was amazing to see so many community members and families showing up to support our team. We’re proud to have christened the gym with victories, and we can’t wait for all the wonderful memories our students will create in our beautiful new school and gym. Today was a special day for our students as they got access to our brand-new gym for the very first time! The excitement was off the charts as they stepped inside and took in the beautiful, state-of-the-art space. From the polished floors to the bright lights, this gym is something we can all be proud of. And the excitement doesn’t stop there—tomorrow, we’ll be hosting our very first home game in the new gym! 🎉 Exciting News from Freeport Middle School! 🎉 For the first time ever, FMS is making history at the FMEA All-State! We’re beyond proud to announce that three of our talented students have earned the incredible honor of representing both Freeport Middle School and the Walton County School District at the prestigious All-State Conference this January. A huge congratulations to Caiden McCaffery, who will join the Middle School Honor Band, and to Lillian Parks and Sarah McKay, who have been selected for the All-State Elementary Chorus! Their countless hours of practice, dedication, and passion have led them to this amazing achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work. 🌟 Exciting News from Freeport Middle School! 🌟 We are incredibly proud to end the day with some amazing news! The results from the Fall Knowledge Master Open Tournament are in, and for the FIRST TIME, WE WON!!! 🏆 Middle School teams from across the nation—and even Costa Rica—came together to test their knowledge in all academic areas, and our Bulldogs took the top spot! This victory is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our students, and it’s truly an honor to see our team recognized on a national stage. 📷 Honoring Our Heroes on Veterans Day 🇺🇸 Today at Freeport Middle School, we gathered as a school family to honor our nation’s heroes in a heartfelt Veterans Day program. Our talented band and chorus filled the room with patriotic songs, setting a powerful tone for the morning. A special thank you to our Dean of Students, Mr. Gillis, an Army Veteran, for sharing his personal story. He encouraged our students to see themselves as future superheroes, forming their own “origin stories” built on strength, service, and resilience. We are incredibly fortunate at FMS to have numerous dedicated teachers who are military veterans and countless students with family members who have served or are currently serving in the military. Their experiences enrich our school community and remind us of the sacrifice and commitment it takes to protect our freedoms. 📚🎓 Today, our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade AVID students had an amazing opportunity to explore a world of careers through the use of VR technology! Thanks to the incredible team from Northwest Florida State College, our students got hands-on experience, discovering what their futures could hold in a virtual setting. This immersive experience opened up new horizons and allowed our students to explore various career paths in a fun and engaging way. Thank you, Northwest Florida State College, for supporting our school and inspiring our students to dream big! 📚🗳️ Learning Civics in Action! 🗳️📚 Our Civics class at Freeport Middle School has been diving into the world of elections and the Electoral College! Students are learning about the importance of voting, how the Electoral College works, and its role in U.S. presidential elections. Today, they put this knowledge to the test with a hands-on Electoral College Simulation activity! Through this engaging experience, our students are gaining a real-world understanding of the election process and how every vote counts. We're so proud of our Bulldogs as they grow into informed, active citizens! #FMSBulldogs

We’re excited to showcase the latest addition to our PE department: Crossnet Volleyball! This unique combination of four-square and volleyball has brought a new level of energy and competition to our program, and our students are absolutely loving it! Crossnet offers a fresh, engaging way for everyone to get involved, building both teamwork and agility. #FMSBulldogs

With a phenomenal 93% pass rate on the 2024 Civics EOC, she’s proven just how powerful her approach to teaching can be! Her classroom is a place where learning comes alive—students are constantly engaged, excited, and eager to tackle new concepts, all thanks to her unique, hands-on methods. But Ms. Infinger’s impact goes far beyond academics. She is also the inspiring coach for our Lady Bulldogs Volleyball team, a supportive mentor to students, and a tireless volunteer for our school’s activities. Whether she’s cheering from the sidelines, helping students reach their personal best, or championing a positive school culture, Ms. Infinger truly embodies what it means to be a model teacher.
